Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Sled Hockey Game
On November 13, 2022, New Trier Hockey Club in partnership with the AbilityLab Blackhawks sponsored a community based sled hockey event. More than 100 New Trier Hockey players participated from playing hockey on the sleds to selling raffle tickets and t-shits, distributing programs and facilitating a "Shoot the Puck" contest. With over 500 spectators the event raised over $33,000 to support the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Adaptive Sports Program as well as Clay Scherb, NT Senior and brother of our JV goalie, who experienced a life-changing spinal cord injury in August.
