Summer Skates
Program Description
New Trier Hockey Club’s Summer Skates program is a great opportunity for players to stay on the ice and continue developing their skills throughout the summer. This in-house program runs for seven weeks, beginning in mid-June (please see below attached information for exact dates).
Players will be placed on teams based on age, grade, and ability to ensure balanced and competitive play. Typically, the program includes four Varsity/Upperclassmen teams and three JV/Underclassmen teams. Varsity teams will scrimmage against other Varsity teams, while JV teams will compete against other JV teams. All games are non-checking and supervised by the New Trier Hockey coaching staff.
Eligibility
Open to all rising freshmen through seniors who currently attend or plan to attend New Trier High School in the upcoming school year.

Summer Skates 2026
We’re excited to welcome our players back to the ice next week for the start of our in-house Summer Games!
Teams have been formed based on players’ previous team placements, along with their current age and grade level. Our goal is to create balanced, competitive, and fun matchups throughout the summer.
To maintain fairness and team consistency, players should participate only with their assigned team unless prior arrangements have been made with Coach Cheris.
Goalies are expected to attend all scheduled games. Please note that goalies will rotate during games to ensure equal playing time.
