Summer Skates
Program Description
New Trier Hockey Club's Summer Skates program is a great way for players to stay on the ice and sharpen their skills over the summer. This in-house program runs for 7 weeks, beginning in mid-June (see season information on the right for exact dates).
Players will be placed on teams based on age, grade, and ability. Typically, there are four Varsity/Upperclassmen teams and three JV/Underclassmen teams. Varsity teams will scrimmage against other Varsity teams, while JV teams will play against other JV teams. All games are non-checking and supervised by the New Trier Hockey coaching staff.
Eligibility:
Open to all rising Freshmen through Seniors who currently attend or plan to attend New Trier High School in the upcoming school year.

Summer Skates 2025
We’re excited to welcome our players back to the ice next week for the start of our in-house Summer Games!
Teams were formed based on players’ previous team placements as well as their current age and grade. Our goal is to ensure balanced, competitive, and fun matchups throughout the summer.
We understand that summer plans may occasionally conflict with game times. If a player will be absent, we ask that they notify Coach Cheris in advance at adamcheris@yahoo.com.
To maintain fair play and team consistency, players should only participate with their assigned team unless they have made prior arrangements with Coach Cheris.
Goalies are expected to attend all of their scheduled games. Please note that goalies will rotate during games to ensure equal playing time.
